Dental Implants

Crowns – Bridges – Implants.

If it is not possible to fill the tooth with a conventional filling on account of it being too damaged, a crown is placed over the tooth. This enables the tooth stump, including the tooth root, to be preserved . Nowadays, dental crowns can be made to look indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is a dental prosthesis that is supported on teeth, dental implants or the roots of the teeth. The dental bridge (i.e. the artificial tooth ) is used to bridge a tooth gap.

Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made from a tissue-compatible material that is implanted in the jawbone to replace one or more missing teeth. Pure titanium implants are the most clinically proven option on the market.

Pure titanium is so tissue-friendly that it does not trigger any rejection or hypersensitivity reactions. It also does not cause inflammatory reactions of the oral mucosa.

Most cases of missing teeth can resolved with the integration of permanent, fixed dental implants. Other medical implants, such as hip joints and pacemakers, are also made of titanium.

Dental implants, dental bridges and dental crown treatments have been a successful areas of focus in Dr. Thomas’s treatment catalogue. If you are interested, you can receive individual advice on dental implants, dental bridges and/or dental crowns in a consultation with us at the practice.
